Software Developer
Harris Govern - Remote

Harris Govern has an opportunity for a Software Developer to join our Research and Development team to support and expand our industry-leading property appraisal and tax software suite. We are looking for an individual with a continuous improvement mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation. This exciting and challenging position requires a self-motivated and independent individual who is committed to developing new, innovative software while maintaining quality and client satisfaction in existing software.

Experience with all or some of the following is preferred:

  • Agile - Scrum and/or SAFe is a bonus
  • Angular
  • C++
  • Visual Studio
  • CAMA
  • Azure DevOps
  • GitHub

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Work as key member of R&D team to analyze and program changes in the Harris Govern CAMA product suite
  • Maintain development deadlines and provide accurate estimates
  • Analyze and troubleshoot product stability issues reported by Product Owners/Business Analysts, and QA Analysts
  • Utilize programming skills to ensure delivered code meets high standards of quality and reusability
  • Follow functional/technical specifications and work with Product Owners/Business Analysts to ensure delivered code meets specifications
  • Work closely with QA Analysts to ensure delivery of high quality code
  • Communicate frequently with both Research and Development team as well as Professional Services and Support
  • Actively participate in code review, knowledge sharing and working sessions, and Scrum meetings
  • Actively participate in skills enhancement training sessions when designated by management
  • Assist Professional Services/Support staff as required with investigations of technical issues
