A Day in the Life of our Senior Systems Administrator
As a Sr. Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting multiple clients systems infrastructure needs for both on premise and in the cloud. This includes but is not limited to network security, infrastructure design, office build outs, building moves, remote connectivity, virtualization, on premise to cloud migrations, etc. In addition, you will provide level 3 support to our Help Desk and Desktop Support teams.

Daily Objectives

  • Maintain client infrastructure including patch management, updates and moves/adds/changes
  • Monitor and review systems performance and uptime
  • Automation of manual tasks
  • Maintain client internet connectivity including backup WAN circuits, dynamic routing, and policy-based traffic shaping/forwarding
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity/performance issues
  • Design complex custom built systems infrastructure
  • Work with business process owners to write and implement policy such as SOX controls, business continuity plans and backup/retention policies

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write and maintain technical documentation
  • 5+ yrs. as a Systems Administrator working with current technologies
  • Scripting experience for automation tasks
  • Experience with AWS
  • Advanced hypervisor knowledge (VMware ESXi)
  • Windows Server 2012+
  • Working knowledge of Linux

Desired Skills

  • Subnet designs
  • Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, 802.1x wired and wireless
  • Working knowledge of PKI Infrastructure
  • Experience with Azure and GCP, Office 365, Google Workspaces, etc.
  • Infrastructure Monitoring tools
  • Working knowledge of PKI (LetsEncrypt)
