Job summary
The AWS Activate Program provides startups the resources they need to grow successfully on AWS. We do this by understanding the uniqueness of each and every startup that applies for Activate, and then personalizing the resources we make available to them. Our resources include (but are not limited to) AWS service credits, Business Support credits, technical education and training, opportunities for business and technical mentorship from Amazonians and startup peers, and personalized growth benefits. The Activate Engineering Team is responsible for the AWS Activate. This hub provides startup focused tools and services designed to help startups grow & manage their business, reduce their costs and get tailored technical guidance. The Console benefits include a personalized recommendation feed that utilizes information provided by the startup to surface learning content, events, AWS services, training, cost optimization and other Activate benefits. Additionally, the Console provides transparency into a startup's credit usage and AWS service spend with projections to help startups proactively plan for credit exhaustion or expiration. The Activate team has also secured partnerships with 60+ and growing 3rd party vendors to provide discounted services and software licenses for Activate members. Lastly, the Activate Console includes a technical enablement hub designed to provide customers with one jumping point to all of the technical support they have access to as AWS customers and Activate members.

The Activate Personalization Team is the brains behind the Activate system. This team is responsible for ingesting startup data from multiple internal and external services and aggregating it into a holistic startup profile. This data supports customers on their journey through the Activate Program. Through Machine Learning, the Personalization Team accurately matches startups with architectural, promotion, exclusive offer and promotion recommendations to ensure startups get the right information at the right time.

  • Master’s degree or higher preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven success building high-performance and scalable systems.

  • Proficiency in at least one back-end programming language, e.g. Java, Ruby, Python,, C#.
  • Understanding of CI/CD best practices.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum Methodologies.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $ 143,700 - 194,400 [year]; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
