Security Administrator

Summary: Liberty is looking for a Security Administrator to be a valued member of our corporate technology team. The Security Administrator is responsible for managing access across all platforms, managing VPN's, ensure patching of Liberty assets & more. Remote work allowed.

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a business or technical discipline

Required Years of Experience: 3 years with bachelor’s degree, or 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education


  • Defender ATP: Configure, Tune and maintain (SysAdmin) sanitize malware and whitelist files as necessary.
  • Responsible for access management for all users, across all platforms
  • Manage all desktop and laptop access to ensure all users using nonprivileged accounts on laptops, control root accounts
  • Manage and ensure encryption on laptop hard drives
  • Ensure standardization of laptop configurations (HW/OS/AV/firewall, etc.)
  • Manage laptop remote tracking and hard drive wipe capability
  • Ensure patching of all Liberty assets, including laptops
  • Gather and maintain security logs where appropriate
  • Oversee removable and mobile devices including thumb drives and Liberty cell phones
  • Manage VPN's
  • Manage 2FA across all platforms where it’s implementing including laptops and the cloud
  • Vendor relationships such as with Softchoice, Guidepoint and Microsoft.
  • Oversee security aspects/configurations of collaborations in SLACK, JIRA and SharePoint, such as the PKRS-Leidos collaboration
  • UAC and SysAdmin for Slack, JIRA, SharePoint
  • Primary for Exchange online; Transport Rules, Group creation and standardization, Resource Mailboxes, DMARC/SPF/DKIM, integration, SPAM/Allowed lists, Quarantine and any investigations
  • DNS for GoDaddy to support exchange and Azure VMs
  • Manage and investigate incidents on Prisma SaaS (Cloud access security broker)
  • Conduct advance search hunting query’s
  • Publish and maintain sensitivity label policies
  • Create and maintain data lost prevention policies
  • Manage software and device inventory
  • Maintain device compliance
  • Update and maintain security baseline profiles
  • Investigate phishing alerts
  • Ensure correct protocols are being used for Privileged Access Management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise/corporate/agency security environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Security Suite (including but not limited to: Azure AD, Exchange, Intune, Security and Compliance Manager, Microsoft Defender ATP, Sentinel)
  • Proficiency in Azure; UAC for Liberty IT Team and any Vendors and Sys Admin for VMs
  • Compliance with security & privacy standards
  • Security Policy and Procedures implemented in software and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Defender ATP and Sentinel highly preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST SP 800-171
  • UAC (User Access Control) in the Azure environment (UAC and System Admininstration for Slack, JIRA, or/ and SharePoint are a plus)
  • Security certification
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls a plus
  • Experience in security and privacy investigations
  • CMMI Maturity Level 3, ISO 9001:2015 or 9001:2001, and ITIL experience a plus
  • VA or other Federal Government experience
  • Has high standards, results oriented, and a commitment to high quality work
