The Azure Developer position is a full stack web developer and a key contributor to planning, building, and supporting our automation, integration, and web-based applications.


Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our 59 Chapters around the country. The Information Technology team is comprised of a diverse team of technologists responsible for building and operating the technologies that enable Make-A-Wish to grant the wish of every eligible child. The Information Technology team is focused on providing innovative solutions across these key areas: Operations, Security, Applications, Infrastructure.


As the Azure Developer you will:

  • Develop & Manage Azure-based integrations using Function Apps, Logic Apps, Data Factories.
  • Troubleshoot bugs; perform root cause analysis; develop and test associated fixes.
  • Migrate legacy code from On-Prem PowerShell scripts to Azure-based technologies.
  • Develop Web Applications and API’s using .NET Core, C#, WebAPI 2.0, and Angular.
  • Work with Vendors to lead overall development efforts and provide feedback.
  • Perform code reviews and provide necessary feedback.
  • Take the lead in communications to relevant end users and impacted operations.
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Administer Microsoft Azure offerings including Web Apps and SQL Databases.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience in a Technology related field.
  • 3+ years in front-end programming languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • 3+ years in object-oriented programming language, back-end development (C#, .NET / .NET Core, SQL Server).
  • 2+ years of SQL Database experience writing queries and stored procedures.
  • 2+ years of Azure development experience (Function Apps, Logic Apps, Data Factories).
  • Experience with APIs for Salesforce and NetSuite a plus
  • Drupal/PHP, EDW/MDM Solutions, and other DevOps or integration experience desirable
