*This is a mainly remote position, but you will need to occasionally (a handful of times per year) come into the office for meetings/ events. The office is in Boston, MA. We can discuss this further!
WHAT IS THIS ROLE ABOUT?
As our new Senior Front End Software Engineer, you will join our growing development team in building unique and industry leading online language education products.
Company's Tech Stack:
- Languages/Frameworks: Ruby/Rails, JavaScript, Vue
- Persistence: MySQL, Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch
- Hosting: AWS
In this role you will:
- Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle - from project planning and design, to implementation and release
- Collaborate with team members to deliver development projects on time and with efficiency
Skills/ Experience needed:
- BA/BS in computer science or other related field, or equivalent experience required
- 4+ years professional experience with Ruby on Rails, Java, or Python required
- 1+ years of experience building and deploying high-capacity applications in cloud environments (AWS or GCP) required
- 1+ year(s) experience using source code management systems (i.e. Git/Github, or similar) required
