The Data Specialist will work in a team environment alongside other data focused coworkers and Project Managers to ensure the effective and accurate execution of deliverables and tasks for the Operations department of Numerator.
Data Specialist will be in charge of facilitating back-end support and customer care, conducting content & data analysis and optimization, distributing enforcement notices determined by clients’ policies, and display data in a way that meets clients’ desires. This position requires robust analytical abilities and a creative approach to problem-solving coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
Utilize Numerator’s proprietary software to capture and organize data.
Working from predetermined product lists, identify and determine correct data linkages from databases.
Check the accuracy of data by comparing datasets to various websites; requires attention to detail and accurate logging of information.
Documents information in format defined by Numerator; ability to maintain and organize all required information.
Acts as the subject matter expert and analyzes production reports. Includes account design and product classification, search and navigation filters, sourcing and SKU attribute building, product content enrichment, product list updates, etc.
Identifies keywords for predetermined product lists and utilizes them to return specific information on the sites and to maximize results.
In-depth understanding of all the leading eCommerce platforms; training provided.
Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, analytics or equivalent discipline
3-4 years in a research focused role or similar
Excellent English communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively communicate your findings cross-functionally
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
Quick learner with the ability to pick up on various skills, tools, and programs used for data analysis
Solid project management skills with an excellent ability to organize complicated tasks and issues
Ability to work self-sufficiently without supervision; asks questions when needed
Team-oriented mindset with the drive to help others
Flexibility to work in shifts as required
Knowledge of SQL or VBA is a plus
