Backend Software Engineer

Job Description:

Sequin is building a cloud based collaboration tool for render engines enabling stakeholders to easily interact with content from any device & anywhere. In this position you will be developing the backend for our Sequin.app product. We need an experienced Node.js engineer who can help build & scale this system to thousands of simultaneous customers and have a focus on reliability and resiliency.

The Sequin engineering team works remotely and is looking for a candidate who can take ownership of their area

Responsibilities

  • Developing stored procedures, queries, triggers, and model changes for our Postgres database
  • Develop & architect internal Node.js microservices running both standalone or as AWS lambda functions
  • Use AWS API Gateway to link to internal backend services or serverless functions
  • Assist with deployment and development of services using Teamcity

Requirements

  • Must enjoy working remotely!
  • Stable high speed internet connection
  • 3+ years of development experience with Node.js
  • Knowledge of SQL based databases such as Postgres
  • Understanding of AWS service including ECS,EC2,Lambda,IAM,VPC,S3, API Gateway
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with logging tools such as Cloudwatch or Splunk.
  • Experience with Git & Jira

Nice to have qualifications

  • Unreal Engine plugin development experience (C++)
  • WebRTC experience

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
