We are looking for a talented individual to join the engineering team and help us grow and scale the next generation of financial tools and navigate the complexities of the financial markets. Interest in finance, trading and ETFs is desirable.

You will be working very closely with all members of the Engineering Team, Product Manager as well as interface with Sales and Marketing occasionally.

Our tech stack is comprised of kdb, JavaScript, React, Python, PostgreSQL and AWS. We employ a scalable micro-services framework (Nameko) for rapid data delivery to a global set of users.

Engineering at ETFLogic covers a few areas:

1. Data Engineering: Building complex ETL pipelines and analytics with financial data.

2. Dev Ops: Architecting our infrastructure with AWS and other cloud providers for resiliency and speed.

3. Quant: Research and deliver workflows around portfolios, with a focus on understanding all dimensions of a portfolio such factors, risk, costs, and themes as well as building robust workflow overlays for portfolio optimization, trading, rebalancing, and tax-loss harvesting.

4. API and Microservices: Deliver our data, analytics and workflows to our clients in a robust, reliable manner.

As a member of the team, you would focus your work and efforts on one of these areas. Knowledge, exposure, and interest in all of these areas is desirable.

We are a tight-knit, quickly-growing, and very ambitious company with real products and amazing clients, that needs a talented, experienced backend engineer (and potentially full-stack) to help us deliver on our vision, as we build our innovative products. Our team is small yet very productive. We build fast and we are constantly looking for ways to be better at what we do. ETFLogic is a place you come to make an impact, working with like-minded people to build something meaningful using an exciting mix of technologies.

The ideal candidate for this position is a thoughtful problem solver who can easily adapt to changing requirements and quickly learn new technologies, as we iterate our products and build better. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and own the entire feature front-to-back while collaborating with the other engineers, product managers, stakeholders. We are looking for a quick learner with some significant experience that doesn't require handholding - an engineer with a solid background in data processing, ETL, software design and architecture principles, and not least important, automated testing.

On any given day you may be tackling (we are a Scrum Agile development organization so we actually work in 1-2 week sprints with well-defined goals and sprint plan):
- working with Microservices Framework Nameko
- Flask APIs
- interracting with Reach-based web platform
- troubleshooting Firebase
- improving the PDF reporting engine
- data handling, cleanup, troubleshooting, enhancing
- writing tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)

- helping with production issues

...the list goes on.

This is a very dynamic role that will only grow in scope as we grow.
