Job Summary:
A Senior UX Copywriter will be expected to develop their skills to create finished pieces that attract and persuade users to decide on what to do next. They work alongside product managers, designers and strategists to develop user-focused copy for digital experiences such as websites, social platforms, ad copy and video scripting.

All copy created needs to be grammatically accurate, follow our corporate voice and style guide and adhere to the specified objectives of any given project - all while remaining interesting to the reader.
Additionally, the Senior UX Copywriter will help other writers (staff and contractors) create content the aligns with our corporate voice.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
  • The role involves developing content and product descriptions for informative pieces and sales collateral used across many platforms, including: Websites, Mobile apps, Emails, Social Media, Blogs, Fliers, Brochures, Ad Sheets.
  • Create copy for digital experiences to drive users to take action.
  • Manages multiple small-to-medium sized writing projects, or one large project, with limited oversight.
  • Is comfortable explaining/defending writing rationale to stakeholders.
  • Actively offers evaluation and critique of other writers' work.
  • Is the final word in copy, style and content debates with external stakeholders.
  • Works on ongoing or more complex projects that may cross channels or pass through multiple steps in a user experience.
  • Delivers copy for any format (long-form, ad-style headlines, email, scripts, in-product copy, articles, blogs, video, social posts etc.)
  • Brainstorms creative concepts and their execution across channels.
  • Collaborate with social media team, graphic design team to identify opportunities to create relevant, in the moment social media content based on current legal activity, pop culture etc.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve existing creative or experiences across channels.
  • Actively mentor other writers while receiving mentorship from the same.
  • Is strategic collaborator with other disciplines (strategy, design, product, etc.) on project concepts and execution.
Job Description
  • Become familiar with compliance and regulatory guidelines and help to ensure that marketing content adheres.
  • Write clear marketing copy to promote our products and services.
  • Draft and proofread blog posts about our products.
  • Implement SEO practices to increase visibility of online content.
  • Work within a fast-paced environment to submit well-structured copy to senior copywriters within deadlines.
  • Work with internal team members to become familiar with product features and keep up-to-speed on service changes.
  • Also help develop content and product descriptions for sales collateral such as fliers, brochures, ad sheets, etc.
Experience/Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to think creatively and translate ideas into copy.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO and keyword use.
  • Strong research skills that ensure all copy is correct and accurate.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress, Drupal).
  • Understanding of social media.
  • Solid time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with, and ability to apply, AP Style.
