Purpose and Scope of Position
IT Support Specialist

Project Farma is looking for a qualified, cross-functional candidate to join our team as an IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist will report directly to the General Manager of Business Operations, and will be responsible for providing technical and practical assistance and support related to IT computer systems, hardware, and software. This individual will be responsible for responding to helpdesk/support requests, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, and determining and implementing solutions.

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical assistance and support related to IT computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Responding to support and helpdesk requests
  • Maintaining daily performance of computer systems
  • Installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software for users
  • Running diagnostic programs to resolve problems
  • Tracking inventory controls and conducting software audits
  • Assisting in training users on multiple software applications
  • Determining nature of IT problems
  • Walking users through problem-solving processes
  • Follow up to ensure technical issues have been resolved
  • Gaining feedback from employees about computer usage
  • Running reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur
  • Learning and supporting the onboarding of new applications, processes, technologies, and systems as Project Farma grows
  • Special projects such as Microsoft Flows and Forms to support business processes and procedures


  • B.S. in Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • At least 1 year of experience in a relevant position
  • Strong project management, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • A solution-driven attitude and strong communication skills to navigate projects across multiple workstreams and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong copywriting skills with attention to detail for proper grammar
  • A robust understanding of Office and Microsoft Applications (i.e. Power Automate)
