The Multimedia Developer collaborates with instructional designers and other Academics stakeholders to advise on and develop high quality, learning science-centered multimedia resources for SNHU Global Campus learning experiences. The Multimedia Developer demonstrates a high level of creativity and flexibility, while keeping with institutional brand and quality standards. The position leverages a deep understanding of audience, client culture, and learning science-centered multimedia resources.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide multimedia support to internal clients through consultation and development of projects from implementation to completion
Independently produce videos that align with brand and quality standards
Use design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate Storyline to develop content for learning experiences, with a focus on video production and editing, Storyline interactions, as well as general graphic design
Maintain file management of media, interactive, and graphic content
Stay current on emerging e-learning design software trends and techniques for the evolution of learning experiences
Collaborate with multimedia team in support of best practices and quality standards (to include accessibility), and ensure that design strategies and implementation support instructional design principles and best practices
Manage and coordinate project intake through product delivery to internal customers
Supervise, coach, coordinate, and quality review the work of contracted third party partners as needed
Years of experience: 2+ years
Proficiency in PC platform (Windows 10)
Robust portfolio of design work
High level of creativity
Flexibility in relation to changing deadlines and project priorities
Bachelor’s degree or higher in media production
Previous experience designing media elements for learning experiences
Demonstrates a high level of quality standards and a sharp eye for design
Proficiency in video production and editing (Adobe Creative Cloud products preferred)
Proficiency in Articulate Storyline
An understanding of interactive software philosophies
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web-based languages
A strong passion for the arts and design
Self-motivated, fast learner with strong time and priority management skills
This job requires some travel for video shoots and other off-site needs. Off-site travel is, for the most part, to SNHU office and campus locations.
