Mastercam Application Engineer - CAD/CAM Manufacturing Techology

We are looking for our next Mastercam Application Engineer who is proactively focused on the customer experience and driven to ensure their success. You will provide superior technical support on Mastercam CAD/CAM software to CNC manufacturing customers as well as related add-on products. You will work closely with our customers to identify their technical issues, document tickets in our systems, and provide them with proper follow up and issue resolution. In addition, you will assist with helping customers improve product knowledge and capability so they can fully leverage their investment.

This role is a fit if you thrive on solving technical puzzles related to CNC machining and CAD/CAM software in a fast paced manufacturing technology environment. Key Responsibilities:
CAD/CAM Technical Support

  • Be the first point of contact in answering incoming customer calls and emails
  • Document all customer interactions in our support ticketing system
  • Prioritize top technical issues and address accordingly
  • Collaborate with sales to identify software and training gaps identified through support
  • Create and brainstorm strategies to address customer needs and bring them to team meetings
  • Occasionally provide onsite customer support including implementation, troubleshooting, and service check-ins
  • Develop your knowledge of CAD/CAM software to become an expert
  • Perform other duties as required

To be great you will need:

  • Post-secondary education in precision machining technology or machinist equivalent experience
  • Experience with computer-aided design and/or manufacturing software for CNC machining (CAD/CAM)
  • Experience using Mastercam preferred though we are willing to train if you are willing to learn!
  • Ability to effectively communicate and clarify questions to a wide range of customers that vary in technical knowledge
  • Professional customer service skills
  • Interpersonal skills both in person and over the phone
  • Metrology experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
