The role of the Business Analyst is for leading initiatives and providing consultation to the internal and/or external customer. Possess expertise in the customer area they support and have technical understanding of the Novologix systems, capabilities, and respective technologies. Analyze client processes and requirements. Prepare specified project documentation. Assist in business process redesign as needed. Maintain communication with customer and team members and promote a team environment. Drive process efficiency to help manage product delivery efforts, improve communication channels, and overall quality of NovoLogix applications.

Responsibilities % Time*
1. Work with stakeholders to formulate and communicate the initial business vision and scope projects. Get the project focused by translating the initial high-level visions into User Stories, Product Backlogs, and any other supporting artifacts required for planning. 25%
2. Effectively elicit and maintain business and system requirements from the initial phase to final implementation, assuring requirements meet standards. Deliver requirement artifacts as needed for iterative development and testing. Ensure User Stories and supporting documents are substantially complete in time for development to begin. 25%
3. Guide and facilitate stakeholder’s efforts to analyze, evaluate, implement, and maintain the Novologix product. Serve as the communication mentor/coach for Agile project teams. 10%
4. Assist in the maintenance and communication of project status reports and tracking. Assist in the development of project definitions, cost/benefit and risk analysis, work plans, progress reports, and presentations. 10%
5. Provide all requirements gathering support for the Agile teams. Develop use cases, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. Coordinate the capture of process models and functional testing; ensuring system is functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well integrated. 25%
6. As needed, provide Novologix deliverables for CVS PMO artifacts on shared projects. 5%

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience reviewing test processes, reviewing test scripts, analyzing bugs, interacting with team members in fixing errors and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Implementation and Post-Implementation Validation, and Solution Assessment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and validations to ensure quality assurance control.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business writing skills and technical writing skills in developing Business Case, Scope Documents, Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), Non Functional Requirements Documents (NFRD), Use Case Scenarios, Product Backlogs, User Stories, current / future state gap analysis. Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare industry. Sound domain knowledge on healthcare practice management, electronic health records, RCM/claim processing, HL7, ICD-10, NDC Codes, HIPAA 5010 compliance and healthcare insurance payer processes.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with using Waterfall, Agile (Scrums, Rational Unified Process), Business Process Reengineering, and Unified Modeling Language.

  • Working knowledge of Windows 7, IE, Firefox, Chrome, EDI, Visual Basic, PowerPoint, MS Visio, RALLY (Agile Central), and SharePoint.
  • Experience in working with Agile project teams a plus.
  • Customer Focus - Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal/external stakeholders, gets customer information and uses it for improvements, acts with the customer in mind, establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  • Task Management - Delivers quality work on time, translates planning into action by following applicable established procedures or methodologies, proactively monitors and controls task status by collecting and analyzing task data to anticipate and address barriers, appropriately communicates and resolves or escalates any problems that arise.

Bachelors Degree in MIS or related field
