BALANCE is currently looking for Housing Support Specialist to work fully Remote in Texas. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Full Job Description

The Housing Support Specialist is the first point of contact for a client contacting BALANCE's Housing Dept. This position requires an individual to be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and having engaging manner with callers. This position is responsible for handling all incoming calls, replying to general housing inbox, supporting HECM counselors with scheduling appointments as well as administrative support of housing dept. This is a remote position.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promptly answers incoming calls and emails from clients and determines nature of problem or question to establish course of action to address problem or question.
  • Provides information about national and community resources, and refers clients as appropriate.
  • Schedules appointments for clients, confirms daily appointments, and reschedules appointments as necessary and performs regular follow ups.
  • Communicates effectively with other team members to meet client needs. Respects client dignity and confidentiality.
  • Provides administrative support as needed.

  • COMPUTER - Knowledge of spreadsheet software, word processing software, and Internet research software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.).


Education and Experience

  • An Associate's is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Other Skills

  • Bi-lingual capabilities a plus


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear, communicate confidently over the telephone and in person, keyboard and mouse, and view and read computer monitor.


Work Environment

This is a remote position, the employee must have a private quiet space where they can execute their responsibilities.
