This role will help shape the future of our digital frontier, dreaming-up and propelling transformational initiatives forward, by focusing on delivering best-in-class digital experiences to our Safeco and Liberty Mutual independent agents' doorsteps via our industry leading marketing technologies. In addition to being a digital experience strategic sparkplug, the ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative, self-starter that has a positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to think both strategically and critically. Our fearless Digital Experience Engineer will have a passion for continuous improvement and making data driven decisions and has an unwavering commitment to advancing our MarTech capabilities. The ideal candidate will be able to effortlessly translate between “marketing speak” and “tech speak”.   • Dream-up and propel transformational digital initiatives forward, developing short-term vision and long-term strategies rooted on building and optimizing agent experiences that lead to improved business results
  • Act as lead digital strategy consultant for our organization, enabling and amplifying our engagement strategies via our digital capabilities, leveraging ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization and develop strong partnerships with a multitude of stakeholders.
  • Partner with IT to assess, prioritize and build new digital experiences with ability to quickly define requirements through strong understanding of current and future state infrastructure, data needs, etc.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing and Content and Creative teams to bring marketing strategies to life via digital properties
  • Work with UX team to define and build new and optimal digital experiences
  • Partner with senior leadership teams to get a pulse on organizational priorities and align and gain buy-in on direction of digital strategies
  • Act as lead consultant helping to advance and optimize our personalization and behavioral automation capabilities across our digital platforms
  • Develop consistent measurement techniques to define success, as well as develop and leverage learnings to craft compelling and influential stories to senior leadership teams
  • Lead team of highly seasoned email developers, focused on:
  • Advancing channel capabilities and integrations across Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Execution of day to day email development and deployment
  • Defining and reporting on KPIs
  • Owning and improving operational processes
  • Strong digital and marketing experience with sophisticated CMS platforms that deliver personalized content (Sitecore preferred)
  • Extensive B2B experience
  • Experience working with UI/UX teams, with ability to define new features/functions (web design experience a plus)
  • Proficiency working with agile tech teams and Product Owners, with ability to define IT requirements to advance MarTech capabilities through prioritization of efforts
  • Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management) and Marketing Cloud (Email Service Provider) experience preferred
  • Machine learning and test and learn experience
  • High degree of adaptability and proven track record of driving influence and buy-in within a matrixed organization
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a team, cultivating talent and ability to develop a fun and collaborative culture centered on delivering top tier work and challenging the status quo
  • Experience creating and evaluating marketing analytics, insights and reporting (e.g. Heap, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience working with or in an agile and fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives and stakeholders
  • Strong presentation and communication skills required, with proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires minimum of 7-10 years of related experience, with at least five in a corporate environment
