Integration Software Manager
Direct Hire: 110K – 120K / year + great benefits
Nashville, TN – remote flexibility if living in USA


POSITION SUMMARY

The most successful candidate will be able to run multiple work streams including Reports, B2B Integration, and application development. This person should also have some solid skill around project management and requirements gathering.

This person will be running the US, Offshore, and Nearshore teams, so remote management experience is always a plus.



The Manager, Software Integration position plans, directs and manages the IS department in order to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations to meet current and future decision-making requirements. This position will provide management and supervisory support to technology staff including developers, database administrators, and information systems staff, and will manage agency development projects and vendor-supported development activities. Security measures will be incorporated into all projects to ensure the safety and security of agency and customer data, and provide quality business solutions within budget and within the assigned resources. Responsible for providing company-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for data handling and related functions.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Five (5) or more years of B2B Commerce development platform experience, IBM Integrator preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of software development experience. .Net and Python preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of database development experience, TSQL preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of project management experience, PMP preferred.
  • College degree or equivalent experience required.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and controls departmental staffing, development, organization, and software acquisitions to ensure they are consistent with the company business plan.
  • Directs the design, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, and system software to meet management and the company’s information needs.
  • Create and manage the project plan(s) to smoothly implement IS plan initiatives; Meet deadlines and project deliverables; Assume working, participative role in select IS projects and/or ongoing processes as needed.
  • Promote shared vision; Gain staff commitment to goals and to high levels of performance; Connect staff to relevant resources; Engage in problem-solving dialogue to help staff think through appropriate options; Develop staff skills through an Individualized approach based upon their learning style and the stage of their professional development; Constructively intervene as needed with individuals to improve performance.
  • Establishes IS policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.
  • The Manager selects, develops, and motivates qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills.
  • Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems and incorporates new developments into the future systems of the company.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal regulations, state statutes, bankruptcy laws, FDCPA, and all other applicable laws and regulations governing activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Deep understanding of data management best practices, including ETL, data modeling, data management, file management, reference data management, etc.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with database security concepts and best practices
  • Proven ability to organize and maintain fluid information.
  • Able to identify multiple approaches to problem solving and recommend the best case solution.
  • Proven ability to work directly with users and management to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build good relationships and rapport.
  • Must be proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting client/customer needs. Always keeping a “Can do!” attitude.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team environment, adopt a culture of ownership and initiative, and promote such within the team.
  • Working knowledge of best practices for automating and monitoring batch jobs.
  • Adept at translating and presenting data requirements into an understandable document.
  • Ability to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
  • Ability to manage time and effectively multi-task.
