Database Administrator Intern

What will you be doing:

The Database Admin Intern will assist in defining operational procedures for maintaining data integrity and availability as well as schema and script development in a fast-paced, high-growth, flexible environment. Keeping all database systems running smoothly and securely is critical to our business mission. This position will receive direction from Junior, Senior and Lead DBAs and collaborate with core team, Project Management, QA, Security, and other cross functional teams to provide the appropriate solution.

Our positions offer an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills with a multi-disciplinary team of technical application and business professionals focused on technical process improvement. You will gain real life experience in the corporate world with hands-on experience using the latest technologies and software principles.


What we're looking for:


Required Qualifications

Work Experience:

0 or more years applicable experience

Skills & Experience:

Database Administration, Data Warehousing Systems, Oracle, Structured Query Language (SQL)

Education:

High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications

Relevant Experience to include :

  • Experience with scripting tools such as Perl, Shell, Ansible, Python

  • Experience in code migration, revision control

  • Experience in database change management

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or Master’s (MA, MS, MBA) in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or related discipline
