First Media’s Performance Marketing division is one of the fastest-growing full-service Direct Response agencies. Our production team is a powerhouse of relatable video content for a modern-day opt-in viewer, specializing in new and iterative DR video ads that drive massive scale for our partners. We are looking for a passionate data storyteller to join our BI team as a Social Media Data Analyst. This role will report to our VP of Business Insights and will focus on First Media’s video publishing arm.

You will:

  • Help drive media strategies through data and insights
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights through storytelling dashboards and visualizations
  • Provide timely and accurate preparation of weekly, monthly, ad-hoc and/or final client campaign reporting according to campaign timelines and client or agency requirements
  • Work cross-functionally with Video Production and Marketing teams to inform their data-driven tactics
  • Build and maintain data & reporting systems for First Media’s various social pages & platforms
  • Conduct market research in the video publishing space
  • Help create sales & marketing materials with relevant performance data

You have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, etc.)
  • 3+ years of relevant data analysis experience, including social media measurement and analysis
  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis with analytics techniques to solve defined business problems
  • An analytical mindset coupled with the ability to understand the true business needs behind requests
  • A passion for conducting insightful data analysis and data storytelling
  • Programming expertise (emphasis on Python, SQL, and R)
  • Data management and visualization skills / tools are a plus
  • Critical, strategic thinker, able to manage projects in a time-constrained environment.
  • Strong collaborative instincts to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Video Production teams
  • Detail-oriented; able to prioritize, meet deadlines, organize, and demonstrate analytical skills and follow-through.
  • Experience with publishing, particularly in the social video space, is a plus
