Confirm Delivery is an EII product that focuses on web/cloud based and desktop applications for creating mailing labels and then tracking and confirming the delivery of the labeled mail pieces and/or packages for a wide variety of customers.

EII is looking for a motivated Junior .NET developer to work on our Confirm Delivery team. Our offices are located in Lafayette, Indiana. The position can be either fully remote or a hybrid of remote and in-office, if desired, and offers room for advancement.

Specifically, we are looking for a .Net developer to help build performant and scalable software using languages and technologies of the .NET framework and Azure. You will create applications from scratch, maintain and support existing software solutions and supplement our customer support department, when needed.

In this role, you should be able to write clean code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator. If you are also passionate about the .NET framework, Azure and software design/architecture, we would like to meet you.

The official title of this position is Software Engineer II. The duties and responsibilities of the Software Engineer II include:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
  • Participate in requirements analysis.
  • Assist in the design and development of modern, scalable, and performant cloud-based applications.
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages. This will be primarily C# but will also include support and maintenance of some legacy VB.NET code.
  • Test and deploy applications and systems.
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
  • Improve existing software, as needed.
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support, when needed, to our customer support team.
  • Participate in code reviews for team members.
  • Report to the Manager of Software Engineering.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a professional attitude
  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer
  • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, .NET Core, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
  • Strong Knowledge of C# (3+ years)
  • Knowledge of Software Design Patterns
  • Knowledge of VB.NET (for Legacy Support), HTML5/CSS3 and Razor pages
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and Jira (or similar)
  • Familiarity with Blazor is a plus
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC, gRPC, Clean Architecture)
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (preferred) and/or Bamboo
  • Familiarity with OAuth.2, OIDC, SSL and TSL
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
