Associate Web Developer, Marcom
Who We're Seeking:
Are you looking to join a collaborative and creative marketing and communications team dedicated to helping make a difference in the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities? As our Web Developer Associate, Marcom, you will be responsible for the front-end development of all internally built and managed digital communication channels. In this role, you will help define and prioritize requests and collaborate with your marketing peers and cross functional teams to directly manage web infrastructure and ongoing content and layout changes.

The Catalight Foundation is the parent organization leading a family of companies that includes Easterseals Northern California, Easterseals Hawaii, the BHPN and Xolv Technology Solutions. The Marketing, Communications and Development team is responsible for a variety of tasks and focused on building our family of companies’ brands with compelling stories that attract and retain the best talent, compel our communities to donate, and create an interest in partnering with organizations.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop functional and easy-to-use websites and landing pages.
  • Capture and document requirements related to web products and services.
  • Debug pages and fix broken links or images.
  • Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g., traffic, conversions) using Google Webmaster, Google Analytics or other similar tools.
  • Maintain and track performance of digital properties
  • Produce quality, error-free work with minimal oversight.
  • Timely production and delivery of projects within a remote working environment.
  • Assist Marcom associates and managers with building communications using MailChimp and/or Marketing Cloud.
  • Be an ambassador for a fun and highly effective team.
  • Responsible to complete additional job duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
  • 3+ years’ experience in front-end development and/or web design
  • BA/BS in digital design, computing or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient in HTML/CSS, XML (knowledge of SQL and JavaScript a plus).
  • Working knowledge of WordPress (theme, plugins, and code.) with exposure to Divi Builder a plus.
  • Strong project management: experience using Monday or Jira for project management is desirable.
  • Ability to remain agile, resourceful and responsive in a remote working environment.
  • Effective interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of web standards and best practices.
  • Experience with responsive design, usability testing, and user research in a web environment.
  • Basic understanding of UX best practices.
  • Ability to convert creative files (PSD, Illustrator and XD) into working websites and landing pages
  • Knowledge of web analytics and SEO.
  • Ability to optimize website loading speeds and capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day responsibilities, with and without supervision
  • Strong communication skills with ability to maintain project transparency in a remote virtual environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to proof work for accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Track record of providing excellent customer service and operating in fluid, fast-changing, high-growth environments.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Desire to work in an exciting, fast paced high energy environment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent sitting.
  • Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in a remote work environment.
  • Frequent speaking and listening (20-80%) to clients, staff, and others in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to utilize virtual meetings software (Zoom, Teams, etc.), MAC or PC computer, and cell phone (iPhone).
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
