The Front-End React Associate Software Engineer is responsible for designing and developing symplr applications and coordinate with the symplr team working on various aspects of the platform. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential. This person must be a critical thinker who can efficiently solve problems and work well with a diverse team.

This developer will contribute to team meetings and the overall engineering process. Must be diligent and coordinate multiple tasks within a team and understand the entire software development life cycle.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales Team, Marketing Team, Implementation Managers, Implementation Support Engineers and participate in the client calls during and after the implementation of the platform
  • Member of the Agile Development team composed of onshore and offshore members; participate in the Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, iteration review, and retrospective
  • Learn how to translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
  • Thoroughly document work in an organized manner
  • Lean how to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Assist in identify bottlenecks and defects, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
  • Help maintain quality, organization, and automation of the platform's code and data
  • Assist in identifying areas of instability and deviations from best practices amongst application components

Skills Required

  • Some experience with modern web tools/technologies such as HTML/CSS
  • Some experience with front-end scripting languages and libraries including JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, and/or TypeScript, with emphasis on experience alongside client-side frameworks such as Angular, React, Redux, Knockout, Polymer, or Vue
  • Knowledge of how to build responsive applications, following industry standards, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and accessibility
  • Knowledge of AJAX and RESTful APIs
  • Some experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, or Mercurial.
  • Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as Jira, Rally, or TFS
  • AWS experience is a bonus
  • Some experience in C# 7.0+ with Microsoft .Net 4.5+, .NET Core 1.x+, ASP.Net MVC 4.0+ and Web API 2.0 technologies is a plus
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
  • Some experience in writing reusable, clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills with ability to work in a team

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another relevant technical field AND 0-2 years of relevant industry experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry is preferred
