Software Engineer, Frontend

Published date Posted on Indeed on May 07, 2022 (17 d ago)

What will you be doing?

Useful is currently in early, rapid development. The user interface is the place where product teams run, manage, search, and view their conversations, communications, and insights with customers across the discovery, design, and beta phases of product development.

  • Create delightful user experiences in Typescript using React and GraphQL

  • Work closely with design and product management to develop a product our customers love

  • Attend customer discovery calls and internalize their feedback to deeply understand our customers and the problems we solve for them

  • Improving the performance and reliability of Useful's frontend to create a lightning-fast UI

  • Partner with senior frontend and full-stack engineers to improve our frontend infrastructure

What makes you a great fit?

  • A strong technical background, including 2+ years of experience building and deploying high quality, reliable, and secure web applications

  • Experience with React (v16+) and desire to learn Typescript

  • Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones

  • Curious and unafraid of open-ended problems

  • Driven by solving customer problems rather than building specific solutions with a desire and ability to empathize with different types of users who rely on Useful

  • Strong ownership over your work - when you do something, you do it 100%

What you'll get

  • Education and experience in building highly performant frontend architectures and codebases

  • Impact and responsibility and double-time acceleration of your career development

  • A tight team on a shared mission to change product development globally

  • Significant ownership in a startup with a massive market opportunity

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance benefits for you and your dependents

  • Unlimited PTO
