Frontend Software Engineer
What you will do
- Design and develop software across HealthVerity portfolio of applications using React on the frontend, powered by a robust backend microservice architecture
- Contribute to our product direction by translating customer requirements into functional, scalable code, consulting with product and design resources to guide our engineering choices and workflow
- Devise and implement improvements to our automated testing and deployment processes
- Research and implement new technologies with a team of developers to execute strategies and implement solutions
- Produce peer reviewed quality software
About you
- Experienced in writing scalable applications on distributed architectures
- Eager to both review peer code and have your code reviewed
Required skills and experience
- Experienced with React and JavaScript frameworks and TypeScript
- Experience building reusable UI components with thoughtful APIs and handling React component state and lifecycle
- Experience with complex web GUI supporting microservices or similar API for frontend application usage
- Extensive experience with CSS and HTML
- Experience with software development in microservice-based architecture
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools
- AWS (AWS CloudFormation and AWS Services (e.g. S3, IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, and EventBridge, and EMR)
- Mentor UI engineers, which may include performing code reviews, suggest tools, technologies, and best practices that improve stability
Desired skills and experience
- Databricks, Snowflake, or other data lake technology
- Selenium or Cypress
- Jest for testing
