We are seeking a Software Engineer (Full-stack) wanting to join an impactful and growing team. On Core Services you are a vital part of bridging across different teams and systems. You have some experience with full-stack cloud native software development, distributed systems, AWS, and digging through code to resolve issues. Ideally, you should have experience for both developing efficient new features and supporting incidents to improve reliability and performance of systems and services.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with a team of wonderful people in creating a beautifully simple experience for user configuration

  • Build administrative/management UIs and own integration points between our products and Core Services

  • Participate in architecture and technical discussions through workshops and grooming

  • Integrating into an extensive ruby code base to incorporate micro services to front end capabilities

  • Working together with product managers and other stakeholders to create impactful code that focuses on scalability, throughput, and reliability

  • Build, deploy, and provide production support for any services you work on

What you bring to the role:

  • Required:

    • High level of ownership over the code you create

    • Deep respect and desire for team collaboration and members’ perspectives

    • Excitement to learn new languages, frameworks, and systems

    • Enjoyment from learning with others through pairing, code review, tech talks, etc.

    • High attention to detail and validation

    • Competent in Ruby on Rails

    • Knowledge of javascript

  • Preferred:

    • Professional experience developing highly scalable web applications

    • Exposure to front end frameworks such as React

    • 1+ years’ experience as a full stack software professional

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Tech Stack:

  • Intricate Ruby on Rails application

  • Front end development on React and some Ember

  • Back end Scala services running on k8s
