Title: Front End Developer
Location: Alpharetta (Remote)

Duration: 8 Months

In this software development position, you will be working closely with the dev team on the creation of new features for the Organization and Talent Hub (OTH) platform, an enterprise web application used for the delivery of organizational transformation projects. OTH is a single page application built in Angular and consists of D3.js visualizations on the front-end which tie into a MongoDB and Neo4j backend using Java and SpringBoot for our middleware.
You'll be expected to write code upto 50% of your time. This is an active development role with the addition of leading & mentoring a team.

Participate in the full development life cycle, including design, coding, and testing
Be able to take business requirements and break them into actionable tasks for developers - understand upstream/downstream impacts, work with QA on test scenarios, work with UX on iterating designs.
Work closely with engineering lead, backend leads, QA leads, product manager, and UX.
Oversee the quality of development by training, conducting PR reviews, and mentoring other developers

Required Skills:
10+ years of building out web applications using JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular 9+ but should also be able to write in Typescript.
Strong understanding of data structures & algorithms. We use trees and graphs.
Experience with web front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Webpack, Karma, Jasmine, Jest, and Git.

High attention to detail - know when the UX looks wonky.
Outstanding team player - you truly care about sharing your knowledge with the rest of team and contributing to the success of the team.
Independent and able to manage and prioritize workload - you get things done without being told what to do.
Ability to quickly and positively adapt to change - you know how to prioritize and ask questions when you hit roadblocks.
BA/BS degree in mathematics, information systems, statistics, computer science, or equivalent experience.

Experience/Required Skills:
To qualify, candidates must also have:
7+ years of relevant work experience with a concentration in front end design and development
5+ years of client side JavaScript experience
2+ years of OOP JavaScript and MVC Frameworks
4+ years of jQuery experience
1+ years of RESTful application development
2+ years of HTML5 experience
5+ years of CSS experience
3+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with and the ability to apply Design Patterns
A firm grasp of design concepts such as Responsive Design, Progressive Enhancement, Adaptive Rendering, and Minimal Download Strategy
Strong understanding on client side performance optimization techniques
Experience working in Agile Development Methodologies and frameworks such as SCRUM
Strong object oriented design skills and ability to articulate designs using UML diagrams
Self driven to stay abreast of current technology trends
Proven ability to thrive under pressure

Additional desirable skills (optional) are the following:
Mobile Design & Development.

Contract length: 8 months

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $63,288.00 - $161,075.00 per year
