ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an experienced External Art Producer to be the bridge between our internal production team and the external art teams. Maintaining and managing the relationships and pipelines with our external partners, you will be responsible for reviewing art assets, providing feedback, and ensuring high quality assets are delivered on schedule. You will be a critical part of the flow of art into our products.

We support remote work for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule art content in collaboration with internal art leadership and production
  • Build and maintain a cohesive understanding of our art quality and asset pipelines to be able to effectively and confidently review assets, solve and anticipate problems, and communicate feedback
  • Provide clear and concise technical and artistic feedback to external artists
  • Manage external team schedules and ensure they are in sync with project milestones
  • Create benchmark art assets and best practices guides for external partners
  • Ensure external teams have all the information they need to produce art that meet all technical, performance, and quality expectations
  • Identify areas where we would benefit from outsourcing and proactively research additional external partners and distributed art teams

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years professional experience in project or team management related to art teams within game development
  • Have shipped at least 1 major game title using level creation tools like Unreal Editor/Engine as an environment or generalist production artist
  • Can demonstrate an incredible portfolio of managed work with the best examples of realistic 3D environment creation, organic sculpts, hard surface objects/props
  • Able to work independently to a high level of quality solving visual and technical challenges
  • Self-driven with strong communication skills and an eye toward accuracy and consistency with proven ability to capture and relay artistic feedback in written form
  • Track and communicate specific visual status on all assets throughout the stages of production, to completion
  • Help to vet external parties for quality and viability and recommending external vendors
  • A passion for interior and architectural design
