Position Summary:
(ISC)² is looking for a detail and customer-oriented Procurement and Asset Specialist for our agile and process improvement driven Finance Team. The Finance team has a strong focus on internal controls, strategy based cost negotiations, and personal growth. This position offers ample opportunity for functional cross-training with IT to establish appropriate processes to order, receive, and safeguard both tangible and intangible assets for the greater good of the organization.

Summary Description of Position:

The Procurement and Asset Specialist collaborates with accounts payable, the business enterprise, and IT experts to ensure timely and pragmatic procurement of both hardware and software, recording, and safeguarding of all tangible and intangible assets for the global organization. This role requires technology roots to succeed since it will partner with an IT expert implementing ServiceNow Software Asset Management module. This individual will establish a rapport and build trust with key stakeholders in the enterprise as well as external vendors. The Procurement and Asset Specialist must establish and tailor internal procurement processes as well as document all proper internal controls to deliver continuous improvement. A strong focus on contract negotiation and cost management is helpful in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for hardware/software procurement and license management for both domestic and international vendors
  • Manage relationships with vendors to align with agreed upon terms and SLAs
  • Provide all requirements to ServiceNow developers to configure software and hardware related data points in ServiceNow and other tracking systems in order to maintain license compliance and accurate asset reporting
  • Tracking assets throughout the product lifecycle and maintaining adequate computer equipment inventory for all global business operations
  • Develop and maintain all procurement and asset management policies and procedures to track and protect all company assets while ensuring proper internal controls exist
  • Responding to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Asset Management data information
  • Identifying savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with vendors and outside contractors to obtain identified savings
  • Provide status reports for managers and department heads along with any data required for any type of audit
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • College Degree in the field of Business or Computer Science; in lieu of a degree, we will consider at least 4 years of equivalent work experience in a procurement or asset manager role
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience working as part of a software/hardware asset management team
  • Intermediate experience working with the ServiceNow platform or similar asset management system
  • Strong understanding of Procurement, License Management, Vendor Management and Financial Management

Physical & Mental

  • Work normal business hours, extended hours, potential on-call availability and occasional evenings and weekends when necessary, to meet deadlines, deploy or test changes
  • Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods
  • Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop and monitor computer screens
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
