Location : Remote
Client : Freddie
Role: Java Application Developer or Support Engineer
Responsibilities
- Perform application intake process to understand the current application stack
- Deploy the application and ensure it is running in its current status [ legacy platform]
- Remediate the application based on the component/technology changes need to make the application compliant based on the Technology bricks approved at the organization level
- Analysis and troubleshoot any issues with the remediated application
- Work with the testing teams to resolve any issues
- Deploy the remediated application in PROD
- Should have strong analysis and trouble shooting skills with Linux, Java, application servers, any batch scheduler, any RDBMS technology environment

Essential Skills
- 2+ years of in-depth knowledge and experience in Java and any frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, etc.
- Strong experience in any App Servers like WebLogic, Web Sphere or JBoss
- Strong on Database (DB2 or Sybase or Oracle) skills and to identify, isolate database related issues
- Strong on Linux commands and Trouble shooting skills (Analyzing files, logs, etc)
- Good understanding of batch applications (Autosys or any scheduler) and messaging (JMS)
- Good knowledge in any build scripts (like Maven, Gradle), Continuous Integration methodologies and tools like Jenkins
- Good communication and work ethics
Nice to have
- Exposure to Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud deployment
Essential Qualification
- Understanding of Application Development and Support
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $59.00 - $63.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Experience:
- Java: 7 years (Preferred)
- Weblogic: 5 years (Preferred)
