Position: Java Big Data Engineer
Location: 100% Remote (within USA)
Duration: Long term contract
This role is not for agencies as we can only work n W2/1099.
Job Functions:
- Analyze system requirements and design responsive algorithms and solutions
- Use big data and cloud technologies to produce production quality code
- Engage in performance tuning and scalability engineering
- Work with team, peers and management to identify objectives and set priorities
- Perform related SDLC engineering activities like sprint planning and estimation
- Work effectively in small agile teams
- Provide creative solutions to problems
- Identify opportunities for improvement and execute
Essential skills: * Strong experience in Core Java
- Experience with cloud based Big Data technologies
- Proficiency in Spark SQL, SQL, Lambda, EMR, Spark, SNS, SQS, AWS
- Ability to push the frontier of technology and independently pursue better alternatives
- Great communication skills and Dedication
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Experience:
- Java: 6 years (Required)
- Big Data Technologies: 3 years (Required)
- Spark: 2 years (Required)
- AWS: 2 years (Required)
- Writing complex SQL queries: 4 years (Required)
