Overview

Olympusat Inc, is a fast-growing dynamic company operating in the content distribution and consumption space. In this dynamic environment the operations of the company and its ability to adapt and evolve continuously become an essential element to the success or failure to the company overall. The Olympusat development team is broken into 3 domains; Dev Ops, Product Development, and Operations. Our operations team is seen as an indispensable core layer that guides the direction and evolution of our overall team's development.

Operations is responsible for all the "in-house" development needed to satisfy the Operational and support development needed by the company. The position is primarily responsible for developing and maintain a multi-domain service-oriented architecture that leverages cloud based micro-service and distributed systems design patterns to handle the operational responsibilities of the company. Will work alongside existing Senior engineers to satisfy business requirements. Will develop custom solutions as well as integrate with 3rd party services to create holistic solutions.
Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations team development needs by working on and refactoring Node.js APIs towards deeper insight
  • Handling integration with 3rd party systems
  • Developing in an event-driven environment
  • Working with business layer and domain experts to define problem, aggregate needs, and prescribe solutions
  • Automating various business layer operational activities
  • Working within a cloud infrastructure ecosystem (AWS)

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages
  • Experience with building Node.js APIs
  • Cloud and service experience with the AWS ecosystem
  • Experience with relational and document-oriented databases, especially MongoDB
  • Serverless Framework experience, and AWS CDK familiarity
  • Comfortable working in a monorepo environment
  • Passion for discovering and following good software design and architecture patterns
  • Familiarity with DDD, Agile, or other iterative development approaches
  • Growth-mindset with a desire to learn, welcoming feedback, enabling you to take on new problems and grow as a person & engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $95,000.00 per year
