Join the On-Site team today and discover for yourself what sets us apart! The RoleThis position is responsible for managing the IT Department. They are accountable for delivering support for various applications and teams. This role is both management and hands-on, requiring the person to bring a deep understanding of support, strong business acumen, ability to define a vision for their team, ability to lead diverse teams, and ability to work within a fast-moving environment in a mid-size company and deliver a broad business impact with their support. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for all data management systems and automated processes.
  • Manage a team of networking & systems administrators and developers.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems within our environment (Linux, Windows, macOS).
  • Communicate with leadership and other department heads to plan and integrate strategic systems.
  • Recruit and train employees to expand or maintain department capabilities.
  • Manage the various support activities and deliverables on time with customer satisfaction in a multi-state work environment with matrix resources in different locations and time zones.
  • Maintain departmental budgets
  • Assist employees in building and managing their development plans.
  • Capable of providing employee performance reviews
  • Provide for the timely and accurate resolution of requests from leadership with regular communication on the status of your team's work.
  • Other duties as assigned
QualificationsAt a minimum, the candidate should possess the following:
  • Relevant experience in the field of IT Management
  • US work authorization
  • Background in networking, systems administration, and application development
  • Knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations
  • A working understanding of programming, computer science, and digital security
  • A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture
  • Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Leadership and conflict management skills
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization
EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (required) ExperienceNetwork Administration: Routing, Firewalls, etc.Systems Administration: Virtualization, Hardening, and Automation.Operating Systems: Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), Windows (10/11), and MacOS.Third-Party Solutions: OutSystems, Make (FKA: Integromat), Zapier, etc.Cloud Computer: AWS, GCloud, or Azure.Enterprise Management: Microsoft 365, Google Suite, etc.Account Management: User Permissions, Rules, and Alerts.Scripting Languages: Javascript, Python, and BASH.Web Development: HTML, CSS, JSData Syncing: Understanding and Ability to implement APIs/Webhooks.Data Management: SQL, etc. LocationThis is a remote (within US) position TravelThis position is primarily remote but could require domestic travel from time to time.
