ServiceNow Developer Architect
This position will report to the Senior ServiceNow Developer and be part of the Program Chief Architect staff. You will apply software development to configure and code on the ServiceNow platform. Conduct user requirements gathering, draft user stories, and meet with users to validate and enhance them. Work with Scrum Master to ensure user stories include validation criteria that reasonably cover all areas necessary for complete testing. Participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Scrum Meetings, and other agile development activities. The ServiceNow Developer should be experienced in system administration and across several application areas, such as platform capabilities (Service Portal, CMDB, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Knowledge Management, and Service Catalog), ITSM, ITOM, and implementation. The candidate should have direct experience related to implementing applications in the ServiceNow environment, as well as direct experience using JavaScript on the ServiceNow platform
Key Responsibilities
- Implements ServiceNow applications including configuration, report development, and data migration, where applicable
- Configure and maintain data integrations between ServiceNow and other systems.
- Performs customer-specific configurations, custom development, and 3rd party integrations (as required)
- Carries out unit-testing and defect resolution
- Carries out-migration of the changes to production
- Assists with technical design and documentation
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and team members to build solutions in ServiceNow that support business requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a large and complex software development project
- Minimum 2 years designing, configuring, and implementing ServiceNow architecture, data designs
- Minimum 2 years of JavaScript development in ServiceNow components
- Must have Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) and ITSM certifications
Desired Technical Experience
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, REST
- Prior experience using source control systems
- Experience with website content development and testing
- Experience working in a large and complex application development environment
- Experience with developing Service Catalog and ServiceNow workflows
- Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present in a group setting
- Projects a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions
- Possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow-up skills
