ServiceNow Developer/Administrator Job description:

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for application support and operational activities, code migrations, replications, patching, and upgrades
  • Responsible for system’s reliability and platform health
  • Engage with client and identify and understand requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs
  • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance end user experience
  • Collaborate with project team members in customization and configuration of ServiceNow instance
  • Create and update documents as needed (e.g., Configuration document)
  • Implement best practices in coding and design as per Synergy and ServiceNow standards

Key tasks:

  • Configure and modify ServiceNow to meet business requirements
  • Perform release upgrades with minimal or no disruption to IT operations
  • Perform daily administration, troubleshooting, and resolution of any issues arising in the ServiceNow environment
  • Perform user management including maintaining user and group roles and profile, security settings, access settings, etc.
  • Understand and customize, configure, and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform as it relates to ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, Service Portal, Workflows, and other functions
  • Proven implementation experience with at least 1-2 Snow modules (e.g. ITSM, ITOM, CSM, etc.)
  • Proven ability to configure ServiceNow using Utilize Business Rules, Client Scripts, advanced UI Policies, Workflow editor, Flow designer, ACLs and Script Includes and UI Scripts to fulfill requirements, including knowledge of and experience with JavaScript/GLIDE, HTML5
  • Proven experience in integration of ServiceNow with other IT applications.
  • Experience gathering requirements and creating/maintaining the ServiceNow solution documentation
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and provide insight and expertise in level of effort, timeline, and status updates
  • Provide technical expertise for issues related to development
  • Create and implement Business rules, client scripts, UI Policies, Access Control Lists (ACLs), etc.
  • Migration of update sets to different environments (dvlp to prod)
  • Work with QA team to validate solution and ensure quality product is delivered

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Include educational qualifications (Bachelors/Masters)
  • 5+ years of working as a ServiceNow Administrator
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation specialist (CIS – ITSM) preferred
  • ITIL certification – Good to have, but not required
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of ServiceNow architecture and key modules (e.g., ITSM modules, Service Catalog, CMDB, Service Portal)
  • Strong understanding of workflow automations, User Interface (UI) policies, data polices, actions, business rules and client scripts.
  • Experience in ServiceNow development
  • Excellent experience in Java scripting, Angular, UI, SQL, HTML, JSON, REST, etc.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to attain Federal Government Position of Trust
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must pass a background investigation
