Liaison has a freelance project opportunity for a Front-End Web Developer with React.js expertise to own web development, testing, and site optimization as a resource for of our client's embedded marketing operations team. You will help drive the future web experience for the client, a technology firm supporting financial services. We expect flexible 20-40 hours a week depending on project need and your availability for at least 4-6 months with possible continued project based work thereafter.

• Front-end web application development with React.js
• Adopt frameworks to deliver rich user experiences on the front-end
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code by using software development best practices
• Review and debug code
• Participate in collaborative UI/UX discussions with the designers
• Participate in estimation and planning sessions during regular work hours CST
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Ability to problem-solve and come up with alternative solutions

How to be a top candidate for this job:

• 4+ years of experience working with each HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript
• 3-5+ years of front-end development with React.js, FLUX or similar Javascript frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone.js, Ember.js, KnockoutJS, etc
• Web-based portfolio (Github or equivalent)
• Familiarity with MySQL and NoSQL (preferably MongoDB)
• Experience with GIT and GitHub or similar version control systems
• Experience implementing responsive designs
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience developing software applications in an Agile environment a plus
• Familiarity with content management systems like Drupal/WordPress/Joomla a plus
• Experience with Phoenix/Elixir a plus
• Experience with containerization software such as Docker a plus

Skills:

• HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript
• React.js, FLUX or similar
• Familiarity with MySQL and NoSQL (preferably MongoDB)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and attention to detail
• Must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-platform / cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
• Solid understanding of latest security standards and performance concerns
