Job Overview:

The Director of Product Engineering is an experienced technical operator, responsible for directing and developing staff within the engineering organization. The incumbent will own the planning, tracking, manpower assessment and execution of day-to-day engineering operations, focused on the growth and expansion of Olive’s AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct day-to-day operations of a large team of engineers and supervisors
  • Responsible for delivery of engineering work keeping time and quality commitments
  • Leverage and report on engineering metrics to drive a continuous improvement mindset
  • Able to design and architect maintainable and scalable solutions
  • Provide leadership for the engineering technical architecture, landscape, and roadmap
  • Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to understand critical path challenges and delivery implications
  • Partners with leaders to identify systemic or root-cause obstacles to effective working
  • Ability to recruit and motivate top engineering talent
  • Responsible for staffing and capacity planning that maximizes department efficiency
  • Drives effectiveness of an On-Grid workforce located across the country
  • Consistently sets goals which align to organizational priorities and measure our collective progress toward key objectives (OKRs, KPIs, etc.)

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing/leading software engineering teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related degree, or equivalent experience
  • Experienced with technologies including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, OCR, Computer Vision, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Executive presence and experience working with C-suite, executives, and customers
  • Proficient with Agile Methodology processes and tools such as JIRA
