We are looking to add an Instructional Designer to our Education Services team! This individual will be responsible for supporting the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs, courses, and web-based instruction to meet the emergent needs of identified learners. What you will be doing

  • Utilize instructional design strategies to design, develop, manage, conduct and evaluate course curriculum that is scalable, innovative, and meets the needs of a global audience; estimate timeline and resources
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, facilitators, and business leaders to develop training and provide ongoing support; partner with Subject Matter Experts in order to resolve issues and determine creative solutions and training methods based on organizational needs
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of courses by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes and ensure alignment with business goals; collaborate with facilitators to ensure rapid adoption and further development of courses; design assessment strategies to determine whether desired learning and performance outcomes were achieved
  • Maintain all curriculum course content, reference materials, instructional design templates, and project documentation; evaluate existing processes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Conduct curriculum review and further develop the review process to support the continued improvement of courses; collaborates with subject matter experts to validate content
  • Apply knowledge of adult learning theory to identify and recommend appropriate training delivery methods based on audience, course content, and point within the learning process; Develop course collateral in a sophisticated manner that is interactive and engaging
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to lead the development of curriculum, and to validate objectives are alligned with business goals
  • Collaborate with team, facilitators, and subject matter experts to lead train-the-facilitator sessions; provide constructive feedback on knowledge gaps; design the transition plan from the instructional design team to the facilitation team
  • Apply knowledge to solve a range of problem solving approaches largely independently; strive to keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise; possess an in-depth knowledge of a specific area of instructional design
  • Manage multiple design projects using project management tools and methodologies
  • Mentor team members and facilitators on the instructional design templates, processes, and tools
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy

What will make you successful

  • Background with open source technologies
  • Working experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with Javascript, Angular, HTML, BPMN
  • Preferred experience with Alfresco and Nuxeo products
  • Successful completion of courses or seminars related to Instructional Design
  • Significant experience in instructional design
  • Extensive experience in educational theory, specifically in adult learning methods
  • Expertise with design and media development tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Adobe Captivate, audio and video editing tools, Articulate Storyline and Adobe InDesign
  • Demonstrated curriculum lead experience
  • Demonstrated success in applying ADDIE course development methodology
  • Demonstrated success in course material development applications
  • Excellent skills with LMS integration and SCORM packaging
  • Superior project management skills
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with executive presence
  • Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Excellent collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
  • Driven to learn and stay current professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact
  • Demonstrated ability to compose clear, concise, conversational, grammatically correct documents
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
  • Up to 10% travel required
