About this Role // Ready to join a team where your voice can be heard, and you can make a real difference? Extensis is seeking a Web Developer skilled in CSS, JavaScript, React and UI design. Primary duties focus on implementation of designs within our new SaaS application. This application, called Extensis Connect, is an exciting product built to support the management of digital assets for professional graphic designers from around the world. You'll be working with a team to deliver targeted features to bring peak value to our customers. This is a full-time, remote position for candidates living in Oregon or Washington.

What You’ll Do // We have a skilled user-experience team who provides wireframes with detailed information about each new feature to implement. You’ll be following their design guidance implementing features to delight our customers. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Working together with other developers collaborating on design and architecture
  • Attending scrum daily meeting to touch base with your team
  • Investigating root cause and fixing defects in the product
  • Designing and extending automated end-to-end and unit tests
  • Learning new technologies, programming languages, tools, and best practices
  • A few weeks a year you'll be handling pager-duty to support our 24/7/365 SaaS product in production
. Requirements:

What You Bring // In addition to a positive attitude, a commitment to sophisticated design, desire to learn and a passion to grow, the ideal candidate will also have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent technical experience
  • 2 years’ experience in TypeScript, ECMAScript, React and JavaScript
  • Experience with responsive UI development, Node and AWS
  • GIT/BitBucket/CodeCommit version control knowledge
  • Automated testing: Jest, Enzyme, Cypress
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies

Bonus Skills // In addition to the skills and experience above, you’ll really stand out if you have an understanding of the following technologies:

  • Common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Docker
  • RESTful APIs
  • Cloud based-identity management, JWT, SSO, OKTA, Azure AD
  • Database skills (PostgreSQL), querying and design (ElasticSearch, CI/CD)
