The Role

Our world class Engineering Compute team is seeking a Web Developer responsible for Ampere’s web assets. The Web Developer will interface with several disciplines within various BUs including Marketing, E-Biz, Engineering, etc., as well as outside partners & vendors towards the creation of a unified customer facing experience and internal tools.

What you'll do:

  • Determine the structure and design of responsive web pages, striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
  • Use a variety of programming languages to produce, maintain, and modify website user interfaces for desktops and mobile devices.
  • Optimize websites for usability, search engine visibility, performance, scalability, and compliance.
  • Implement and support feature sets and third-party integrations.
  • Support publishing operations and content management processes.
  • Create and maintain reusable code libraries with version control.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our application architecture and how it relates to client needs.
  • Work with AWS services: Amplify, EC2, RDS, Route 53, and VPC.
  • Configure and deploy new server instances, maintaining their security, and maximize the capabilities of Apache in a Linux environment.
  • EC2 server maintenance tasks including patching, archiving content, and modifying configurations.
  • Monitor overall site performance and create notifications/alarms for associated services.
  • Ensure best security practices in the design of our databases and web servers.
  • Develop web applications in HTML5, PHP, and Javascript with security in mind.
  • Create API endpoints within a proprietary PHP framework with testing and documentation.
  • Run stress/load tests to ensure the performance of our infrastructure, identifying areas of improvement.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ related experience.
  • Second-nature knowledge of HTML, CSS/Sass/Styled Components, and JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding and comfort with JavaScript (Node.js).
  • Love for developing with React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Familiarity with administering static sites and single-page applications in modern hosting environments.
  • Experience working with headless CMSs.
  • UI/UX design sensibility, and experience developing with accessibility in mind.
  • Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, Yarn, and NPM.
  • Comprehension of version control and common git workflows.
  • Flexible and able to balance multiple projects and tasks to deliver quality, timely work in an objective and remote work environment. Have solid planning and organization skills.
  • Able and willing to work objectively and take initiative in pursuing goals and setting a schedule given only general directives.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and speak clearly and effectively.
  • Able to communicate with peers, project stakeholders, and product support teams in a friendly, welcoming manner—especially when introducing new processes or explaining complexity.
  • Ability to exist and thrive in a constantly evolving environment.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
