We are actively seeking a GIS Solutions Specialist to join our dedicated team of professionals in Cranberry Township, PA with work from home flexibility.

At HRG, the GIS Solutions Specialist will work with Geomatics group leadership to perform a range of highly technical, client-facing, and sales-oriented services to grow our GIS and data science group. The individual will collaborate in a dynamic team environment with engineers, planners, scientists, and other technologists to understand client needs, provide technology recommendations, and deploy GIS and/or enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions to HRG clients. The GIS Solutions Specialist will bring extensive experience in the ESRI ArcGIS platform and knowledge of other EAM industry tools, with emphasis on utility and local government applications. This individual will also assist the GIS group in a variety of roles, including performing database management, spatial analysis, online solution development, and more traditional cartography. In addition to a strong outward focus (business development), the individual will be a team player, as well as a mentor to staff in developing a GIS and EAM knowledge base for our firm.

As a GIS Solutions Specialist key responsibilities include:

  • Build, configure, and manage multi-scaled GIS solutions for clients
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and customize ESRI ArcGIS Server and Online systems
  • Develop data workflows and best management practices for GIS data for internal and external projects
  • Implement enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions for clients
  • Actively participate in GIS design and troubleshooting discussions with clients and colleagues through in-person meetings, site visits, and virtual conference sessions
  • Develop GIS products for HRG clients and colleagues, including web-based and traditional static map products
  • Support GIS and Geomatics staff with day-to-day tasks including field data processing, database management, and field-to-office workflow design
  • Evaluate new GIS workflows and technologies and how they might be of use to HRG clients
  • Explain technical issues and concepts to audiences of varying technical abilities
  • Manage GIS tasks with respect to budget, scheduling, and client interaction
  • Maintain a positive image of the engineering firm
. Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer/Data Science or directly related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience working in the field of GIS, Information Technology, or Engineering fields
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the ESRI ArcGIS Software suite, including desktop, online, and enterprise systems
  • Demonstrated experience with the following ESRI GIS tools: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise / Portal, ArcGIS Server, Web AppBuilder, ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey 123
  • Experience with ArcGIS Server implementation, configuration, and data publishing
  • GISP or other industry accreditation
  • Excellent technical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and demanding environment
  • Fieldwork and travel may be required to job sites, meetings, and other offices and may require overnight stays
  • Has the legal right to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in configuring and deploying enterprise asset management (EAM) software, preferably in utility and local government markets
  • Experience in authoring Python scripts for automation of routines and geo-processes
  • Knowledge of the ESRI utility database model and other local governmental models
