Artificial Intelligence Developer
Role Description/Responsibilities:
Development of AI functionality based on detailed functional designs. Supporting integration to ServiceNow using Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
AI developer is responsible for leading the architecture and implementation of AI tools that will help modernize processes at Department of State. Must be able to analyze existing code and recommend AI improvements for tools that leverage Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and custom Python scripts. Experience working with Microsoft Azure Cloud is preferred. Individual will work with a motivated functional team on a weekly basis to understand business requirements, solution ideas, and demo/test new functionality. Position is full-time and 100% remote.
Minimum Skills:
1. Minimum of 2+ years of OCR/NLP development experience.
2. Minimum of 5+ years general AI and Python, C#, or .NET development experience.
3. Ability to set up new AI architecture
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years general AI development experience + familiar with Python, C#, or .NET
Minimum of 2+ years building OCR and NLP AI infrastructure
Ability to obtain Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Python, HTML
Soft Skills:
Ability to problem solve, balance multiple work streams concurrently, and work collaboratively with the team to release system functionality quickly and with high quality.
Government Requirements:
1. Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
2. Candidate must be U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship)
3. Must complete a Background investigation prior to start of work
