Mac engineering support

This is a solid 6-12 months SOW if we have the candidate. (Immediate start)

Here are the high level tasks.

Apply macOS engineering principles into the design and enhancement of new and existing systems

Document new system components, or modifications to existing components; Maintains application and service configuration documentation.

Perform macOS engineering tasks and assignments

Perform macOS engineering technology research, configuration, testing and deployment, for new and modified systems

Strong understanding of Apple culture and Mac Infrastructure

Experience integrating Macs in an Active Directory environment

Experience using Enterprise Connect/NoMAD/Jamf Connect

Ability to configure and troubleshoot Mac Desktop and Server related issues, strong troubleshooting theory; ability to diagnose issues surrounding the Mac environment

Experience with Patch Management in a Mac environment

Experience using Mac software packaging tools

Knowledge of virtualization of MacOS

Experience deploying Macs using Apple Business Manager and DEP

Fluent in Bash, Unix scripting, Zshell, and Python

Experience managing Macs in a Microsoft -centric environment

Ability to perform on call duties and other duties as assigned

Fixing application bugs

Experience working with OS internals including memory management, security features, and APIs

Contract length: 12 months
