What we're looking for are talented, experienced engineers who can come in at a senior or principal level and get up to speed quickly. The core of our stack is Flask and React, so you need to know Python or Javascript very well. An ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and be able to work on any part of the software stack. This role is an advanced member of the team who drives technical strategy in efforts spanning a large technical area and is a key individual contributor. You will be responsible for working together with the Engineering Leadership team to improve processes and help to technically advance the team. Here are some of the relevant technologies, techniques and areas of interest for this role; the more of them you have experience with, the better:

Python, SqlAlchemy, GraphQL
React, Axios, Webpack
MySQL, Redis. Redshift, Elasticsearch, MongoDB
Docker, git, Terraform, CircleCI
Distibuted systems including integrating with third-party SaaS APIs
Architeccting, designing and implementing scalable cloud-based software with experience in:

  • fullstack performance and scalability monitoring and testing
  • cloud-based security
  • developing and deploying microservices in ECS or EKS
  • SQL performance tuning

Proactive and interpersonal communication

  • demonstrate ability to articulate technical or project risks or concerns
  • contribute to brainstorming or solutioning discussions
  • ask relevant questions of other team members at necessary times
  • capable of presenting solutions and ideas to the leadership level

All of our engineers need to have sound fundamentals including knowledge of performance and scalability, debugging skills, unit testing, writing and reviewing technical documentation, and the ability to modularize, refactor and document code. Communication skills are especially important to us. We're a fully remote team that uses all of the modern tools to keep in close contact and support each other. Every developer here works directly with our customers, our designers and our QA team every day. Pay: Up to $125,000.00 per year
