Scala & Spark Software Developer (Spark NLP core team)

We are looking for a strong Scala developer, with proven hands-on experience in writing production-quality code in Scala & Python. In this role, you will get to work with a great team of people who are behind Spark NLP library and will get to contribute to real world projects powered by Spark NLP, which is downloaded by more than a million every month. Proven experience and/or an advanced degree is highly preferred.

We are the team building the Spark NLP and Spark OCR libraries and are looking for outstanding engineers and data scientists to join the team. This career opportunity that will enable you to expand your knowledge of state-of-the-art tools and techniques, work with an international team of data science experts, and make a positive impact with your work.

Required skills and experience:

  • Scala (3+ years)
  • Functional programming
  • Spark (2+ years)
  • Python (2+ years)
  • NLP and Deep Learning experience is a big plus

This job is not open to teams, agencies, or companies. It requires a commitment of at least 40 hours per week. Fully committed candidates with no other obligations & commitment will be preferred.
