JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

Develop tool sets and perform needed programming for the Amsive Data Services Team and organization necessary to accomplish the data needs of our clients. This is to be done accurately and expeditiously. Accountable for efficiency, productivity and maintaining performance levels in accordance with department standards. Maintain high quality standards for all work performed and maintain a working understanding of all hardware and software used by the department.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to perform duties of a processor
  • Proficient use and knowledge of data services (DS) tools and document composition tools
  • Proficient use and knowledge of Amsive (SL) tools
  • Data evaluation and instruction verification
  • Demonstrate strong QC of all work performed resulting in accuracy in all aspects of print file generation and document composition
  • Strong written and oral communication skills demonstrating ability to communicate ideas as needed
  • Proficient reporting of all labor and issues following standards through tracking systems
  • Positive demonstration of ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment resulting in being viewed as a respected team player.
  • Have good understanding of USPS rules and regulations to ensure that final mail piece design and data complies; includes but is not limited to MIK line, barcodes and address placement
  • Follow all company and department procedures including but not limited to those regarding safety, security of data, confidentiality and quality control.
  • Perform all routine tasks including maintaining accurate documentation for project cross-training and execution, time tracking, etc.
  • Able to perform duties of a programmer as needed
  • Proficient use and knowledge of a variety of programming or Amsive automation tools demonstrating ability to integrate both existing automation with programming needed to produce end product
  • Ability to monitor and troubleshoot automated and batched jobs for both personal code as well as code others have developed
  • Ability to document processes and automated jobs enabling others to be able to use documentation to understand and execute jobs thoroughly if called upon
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and C#
  • Ability to work with Tech Support for all DS/DC/automation tools
  • Effective internal communication gaining respect as a team player as well as external communication gaining respect from others within Amsive and clients as needed
  • Ability to conduct research into issues and programs as required demonstrating analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient use and knowledge of a variety of programming or Amsive automation tools demonstrating ability to integrate both existing automation with programming needed to produce end product
  • Ability to develop Amsive tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the Data Services Department
  • Ability to develop successful automated projects
  • Ability to Evaluate and Determine Additional Resources Required for Proposed Projects
  • Take leadership in the area of data problem resolution

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Work Environment: This job operates in a standard office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to work at a desk for long periods of time. Visual acuity required for PC work and reading of materials.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Additional hours may be required and schedules may be changed in order to meet business requirements and complete projects.

Travel: No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education and Experience: 2-3 years as Amsive Programmer

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Must prove leadership capabilities as a Amsive Programmer

  • SQL Server or a database management tool
  • Visual development tools such as Visual Basic, C#, or other
  • Python or other scripting language
  • Industry specific tools such as: PrintNetT, Planet Press, First Logic, BCC Mail Manager, JetLetter, Doc1, Dialogue, or other

Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
