The Position

iD Tech is looking for a Temporary Curriculum Content Developer to produce the educational content and classroom tools to be used by our instructors across the world. Curriculum design includes topics such as visual drag-and-drop coding interfaces, coding in Python, C++, or a comparable languages, game design, and robotics topics. The ideal candidate will have a variety of experience in software used in iD Tech’s programs and produce engaging and educational content that motivates students to learn and follow their “internal drive." In addition to technical work, this position includes a significant amount of writing, formatting, and organization. This role can be worked from a remote home office, if there is a track record of previous work quality.

Responsibilities Include

  • Prepares content and collateral media in accordance with pedagogy, and various style and formatting guidelines.
  • Addresses course feedback and concerns in collaboration with other members of the Education team.
  • Learns software and technology as assigned by your manager for the purpose of producing content.
  • Creates non-course support materials for assigned topics including installation guides, FAQs, troubleshooting tips, and more for students, instructors and clients.
  • Helps internal departments, summer staff, and clients troubleshoot needs as assigned by manager (may involve direct support on Discord, email, or phone).

The Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, game design, or related work experience.
  • Proven experience working with software and coding languages in the iD Tech ecosystem.
  • Experience with one or more of Python, JavaScript, C++, Java, Unity, Roblox, Minecraft or other relevant software or language.
  • Excellent technical writing ability with an emphasis on communication with a predominantly youth audience.
  • Experience teaching or working with kids.
  • Organized, exceptionally detail oriented, focused, independent, and reliable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment where flexibility, prioritizing and multitasking are required to attack each day’s challenges.
  • Must be able to work a typical 8 hour office schedule.
