Who You’ll Be Working With:

Forest framework team is for building scalable, maintainable applications with a blazing-fast setup in Evolent. This team build, maintain various ready-made react components library with rich documentation, isolated component rendering, tests and more. Forest team also collaborates with various application teams across Evolent, understand different needs from the teams and customize the library. If you want a part of solving interesting challenges in development today such as reducing redundancy, scalability, stability, then the Forest team is the place for you.

What You’ll Do:

The Software Developer in Forest team will be working with a highly motivated team of software engineers to develop and maintain Evolent’s React custom framework.

Develop and maintain reusable components and customize them to fit various application needs
Participate in UI framework architecture and optimize components for maximum performance across vast applications and browsers
Pioneer future enhancements to continually improve framework, including versioning, and release strategies
Support and collaborate with UX team to understand requirements, design, and develop rich UI business/web components
Maintain storybook, a development environment tool by providing customizations and usage guidelines for the app teams
Provide support to teams in developing highly scalable applications taking advantage of custom framework with high degree of performance, security, and stability
Open to working with different UI technology stack, such as redux, webpack.

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field, or equivalent industry experience
Minimum 4+ years of professional web development with front-end focus preferably ReactJS.
High proficiency with HTML/CSS/LESS/Javascript backed by a sharp, critical eye for detail.
Strong knowledge of the functional concepts and design patterns.
Familiarity in working on Material UI, theming concepts, and writing unit tests using React testing library
Experience working on GitHub/Azure Git, BitBucket or similar versioning tools
Collaborate with application teams of developers, product owners on building components that supports various functions and features for the applications.
Ability to work remotely, multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, work well under pressure in an entrepreneurial environment, meet deadlines.

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

Experience working with healthcare datasets including claims, members, and providers
Knowledge of working with Rest api services

Technical Requirements:

Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

Compensation Range: The minimum salary for this position is $100000, plus benefits. Salaries are determined by the skill set required for the position and commensurate with experience and may vary above and below the stated amounts.
