Technical Project Manager
FocusKPI, Inc. is looking for a Technical Project Manager to work for our client, one of the largest retailers/E-Commerce companies in the US. This is a full-time contract position.
Work Location: Open to Remote - Must work PST Hours
Duration: Contract to hire position
Responsibilities:
- Adept around the subject matter to articulate technical details and requirements to various teams involved
- Be able to understand technical components to manage projects and programs effectively
- Help define metrics and project success criteria
- Work with PM and Engineers to build plans on how to execute the project/program
- Contribute to helping solve complex problems
- Make data-informed decisions to steer the program
- Planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional initiatives
- Partner with management on project execution and team efficiency
- Drive resource planning activities and deliverables
- Help build a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation, and learning
- Explain complex modeling approaches in simple terms and develop compelling narratives that connect modeling results with business problems
- Produce qualitative and quantitative data
- Partner with cross-functional team to streamline data science solutions
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- At least three years of data science experience, infrastructure, or similar experience
- At least three years of experience managing large scale projects
- Work with cross-matrix organizations to help drive outcomes for the program
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding Data concepts and lifecycle
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
- Experience with advertising, measurement, and/or digital marketing analytics
- Strong communication skills to ‘tell a story" that provides insight into the business
- Strong coding skills in SQL, Python, R and database knowledge
- Extensive experience with predictive modeling algorithms
- Strong project management skills, including managing technical resources and multiple priorities & milestones.
- Passion for working in a fast-paced agile environment.
- A collaborative mindset and sense of curiosity
- Experience in managing multiple projects for services or enterprises
- Managing the entire lifecycle of programs/projects
