Job Overview

This role will partner with the North America Joint Venture Business partners, and INTO North America to ensure our tech stack and IT solutions for system integrations, tech refreshes, and long-term strategic planning goals are an organic part of the way INTO does business. 

As a Technical Lead your focus is a hybrid of leading agile scrum project management within our team and technical integration design and support. The role will be split between 50% Scrum Technical Lead and 50% integration SQL design enhancements, maintenance, and tech-related Joint Venture needs.

The technical lead will be focused on ensuring proactive and consistent updates regarding the status and completion of Joint Ventures (JV) tech related projects, break/fix issues, and services are provided by the team to all JV partners. The goal of this role is to provide technical leadership and project management expertise while working as a member of our JV IT Business Partner (ITBP) team. The role will assist in refining and delivering clear customer success standards to our team. Additionally, they will facilitate integration design recommendations based on requirements and goals provided by the IT Business Relationship Manager. 

With strong communication and team building skills, you will ensure that the incoming backlog of work to the JV IT BPs is actionable and ready to execute before the IT team begins work. You will incorporate project management and technical know-how to streamline solutions that unify and reduce effort to delivery for the JV ITBP team. Innovation, standardization, and minimizing risk are critical in bringing our partners a trusted and reliable intersection of data. 

Our current tech stack includes SQL, Extract-Transform-Load (ETL), Azure data factory, PowerBI, Rest API, Salesforce CRM, low code automation tools, and more. This role involves writing code SQL via scripts, utilizing ETL tools, as well as SQL queries to interact with databases as a part of CRM system integration delivery.



Key Responsibilities

This is a valued role in a growing, dynamic organization, so the responsibilities of the position may change over time but will include the following:

  • Coordinate directly with IT Business Relationship Manager to structure effective sprint planning based on requirements, resources, and need. 
  • Advise in technical solutions, with an emphasis on driving standardized or best practice approaches as needed to the team. 
  • Lead technical team in sprint design activity with a focus on identifying quick fix or permanent solution recommendations, a balance of sprint load, and a customer-first methodology.
  • Delegate backlog tasks to achieve quarterly, epic, and sprint goals.
  • Liaison with team members, management, and Joint Ventures to ensure projects are completed to quality standards. 
  • Drive swift, frequent, iterative results and communication as a champion for customer success
  • Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.
  • Remain transparent with team about opportunities, and successes and motivating team to voice concerns and ask questions. 
  • Collaborate with BRM on reviewing and identifying metrics for success
  • Integration SQL design enhancements, maintenance, and tech-related JV needs. 
  • Design, develop, and maintain data system integrations / Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) operations.
  • Developing and implementing ETL processes
  • Developing and maintaining integration tools and utilities
  • Testing databases and troubleshooting issues
  • Performing root cause analysis and providing recommendations for resolution



Qualifications & Experience 


  • B.S. degree or equivalent experience and/or training in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of agile scrum project management and dev experience
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Relational Databases and the ability to write well-formed queries (T-SQL, Oracle) using basic to intermediate level SQL.
  • Understanding of principles of application architecture
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with basic programming skills such as object-oriented design and scripting
  • Knowledge of and experience with transformation and integration tools & techniques like Jitterbit, XML, CSV, EDI, as well as technologies and structured programming techniques
  • 1 year of Salesforce or similar CRM experience
  • 6 months + awareness of Azure Data Factory 
  • Experience in Quality Control and agile delivery standards with the ability to train teams 
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. and travel abroad

  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or relevant certs 
  • Aggressive in execution, yet patient in analysis
  • Database Administration skills and advanced SQL knowledge such as ability to write stored procedures, hierarchical queries
  • Azure Cloud API technologies
  • Knowledge of and experience with transformation and integration tools & techniques like Jitterbit, XML, CSV, EDI, as well as technologies and structured programming techniques
  • Machine Learning experience
  • Low code tools experience
  • Automation tool experience such as PowerAutomate



Reporting Line

This position reports directly to the IT Business Relationship Manager.
