Summary of the responsibilities:

• Using a tool that SS has prepared, the team reads the output of the automated conversion for the MIG 21 rule expression (written in MIG language which is 90-95% SQL) and identifies the rule not 100% converted via automation
• The team then writes rule logic to manually converts the original expression from MIG into CRIMS, using the CRIMS language which is 95% SQL or identifies that a issue is causing the rule not to reconcile and submits a data ticket requesting a repair
• Once the rule logic is successfully written,or the data issues have been resolved, the team compares results between MIG and CRIMS using a tool that SS has prepared and / or updates the converter with new translations for future tranches

The reason we need dual skill sets of knowledge of SQL and a background of asset management, is that in order to perform bullet#1 above, you need to understand what the rule logic actually means, which requires asset management knowledge.

KSAs:

• Required: Fluency in SQL, to understand the Investment Compliance rule logic in SS's legacy MIG 21, expressions both systems have an ~90-95% correlation with SQL, with a few nuances
• Required: Understanding of Asset Classes Function (Example: For a Bond, an understanding of attributes such as coupon, maturity, issuer. ratings etc)
• Required: Understanding of how Investment Portfolios Function
• Preferred: Working knowledge of front and middle office for Asset Managers, preferably one of the front office technology products
• Preferred: Background in Investment Compliance
• Preferred: MIG21 and/or CRIMS experience
